A Franken NOTD

Hi,

Earlier in the week I realised that my bottle of Cover Girl's City Lights was running very low and it was beginning to be difficult to use so I decided to use the rest of it for a franken. I mixed it with some of Nubar's Night Sparkles.

Here's how it turned out -

The first few shots show the true colour of the franken but the darker shots show the sparkliness! It looks best in the sun but of course there was no sun when I was taking pictures!

I love the result and will be wearing it a lot!

I went to Superdrug's yesterday and Gosh is 3 for 2 at the moment so I got some more sparkly things -

Gosh's extreme eyeliner number 26 and holographic silver eyedust. I also got the holographic nail polish but didn't take a photo of it for some reason.

Don't forget all these pictures are clickable and you can definitely see the full sparkle effect more in the big pictures!

Lastly, look what Tescos are selling now -

Nubar Sparkles - Night and Hyacinth!

Hey,

Today I am showing you 2 of the prettiest (in my opinion!) polishes I've ever seen.

Those of you who follow me on Twitter will know that it was lust at first sight for me with the new Nubar Sparkles collection and I was very excited about them being released. So imagine my excitement when I got an email from the UK Nubar Team offering to send me 2 of the collection for review! There was lots of squealing let me tell you!
I, of course, took them up on the offer and chose to have Night and Hyacinth sent to me.

Get ready for lots of pictures! There was no way I could only show 1 picture each of them :)

First off - Hyacinth Sparkle

Be sure to click on at least one picture to get the full sparkle effect!

Isn't it pretty?! I used 3 coats along with a topcoat. I could probably have left it at 2 coats but I couldn't resist a 3rd :)
Application, for me, was very good. I didn't have any issues at all and I am a big fan of the shape of the brush as it was perfect for my nail shape.
I can't explain just how much this sparkles when the light hits it and I love the colour. I don't have another glitter remotely like it!

Next - Night Sparkle

Gah! Oh the gorgeousness! This is another one that I have nothing even vaguely similar to. It is the most gorgeous shade of blue and it sparkles SO much! Love it.

This is 2 coats with a topcoat. With this one I could have gotten away with 1 coat as coverage was very good. Application was great, no dragging or patchiness.
Again, these photos, don't do justice to how much this polish sparkles! I wish it was sunny here!

I'm sure some of you will want to know how easy these are to remove, because we all know that glitters can be a nightmare! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with these. While they don't come off as easily as a non glitter polish, they come off much easier than most other glitters I own. I think they are a finer glitter which makes a difference. It took me no time at all to get the whole lot off. I now have it back on again though, couldn't resist ;)

As I said before, these polishes were sent to me for review by the UK Nubar team. You can buy these polishes from Beauty Shed for £8 each and they are available now! The Sparkles collection is here. I plan to buy some more after payday this week!! I especially have my eye on Sky Sparkles and Violet Sparkles although I will probably buy the whole lot eventually... :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I'm off to shove my hands into people's faces so that they can oooh and aahh over the sparkliness!
