Still Alive

Hey!

I know it's been way too long since I've posted. I have no excuse, life just took over and this blog took a back seat. I still haven't decided whether I'm going to come back to it properly but for the moment it is still open.

Actually, that's a bit of a lie that life has taken over as I've also been writing a new, much more personal blog as well...but even with that I've been slacking :)

I have moved back down south now closer to my family/friends so life is a lot busier now. I really, really miss the north though, so much more than I ever thought I would. We'd made such good friends there and lived in a lovely area. The area we're in now is just as nice, just not used to it yet!

Anyway, as I said, I haven't decided fully whether to come back to this blog properly or not yet. I don't spend nearly as much time online as I used to and don't change my nail varnish very often! Perhaps I will do some more makeup based posts...

I will see how things go!

Thanks to all my followers for still sticking with me :)

Katy Perry & Rihanna Wear Kiss & Broadway Nails

Known for their chart-topping singles and signature styles Katy Perry and Rihanna both wore Broadway 2-Step Natural Nails at the MTV Video Music Awards. Celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyees applied Kiss 2-Step nails as a base underneath their favorite design/polish.

In lieu of glue, Kyees secured the nails to Katy and Rihanna using the Kiss Mega Hold Tabs – a short-term alternative to nail glue.

Katy wore her 2-Step Nails to give her the nail length in order to pay tribute to her fiancé Russell Brand, while Rihanna opted for a neutral, full-length at the Award ceremony.

Broadway 2-Step Nail Kit is available at Boots, http://www.boots.co.uk/ for £6.99

Kiss Mega Hold Tabs are available at Boots and SuperDrug for £2.99

Fireworks NOTD

Hey!

This is just a quick post to show you my Guy Fawkes manicure -

The vision in my head looked a lot more like fireworks!

I used Eyeko's Indigo as the base and just sprinkled on various nail art glitters on top.

All pics are clickable.

Although it didn't turn out quite as I'd imagined, I still loved it and it was so sparkly!

Also, to finish here are a couple of pictures of the fireworks we went to see -

Glitter Gal Enchanted

Hello!

It's been far too long since my last post. Life has been manic to put it mildly. Everytime I thought I'd get some time to do some blogging, something else happened! But things are fairly quiet now so fingers crossed I'll get back to doing some regular posting.

First off, I want to show you all a Glitter Gal polish I was sent to try a few weeks ago from R8Beauty (yes, I'm really behind in reviews!). For those of you that haven't already heard of them, go take a look at R8Beauty's facebook page for chances to win and review new and exciting products.

I have been drooling over Glitter Gal holographic polishes since I first started to see them pop up on various blogs but getting them shipped from Australia is a bit beyond my 'saving for a wedding' budget at the moment so I was very excited to be offered a chance to try one.

I was sent Enchanted (GGNP719) which is a very pretty pink holographic shade. On my nails it kind of makes me think of salmon pink.

The first 2 shots were taken in natural light -

The next 2 were taken under artificial light to try and show you the holographic effect (I live in the UK, at this time of year sunshine is rarer than Paris Hilton spending a quiet night at home)

(click on pics to get full holo effect!)

Those of you who are regular readers will know that it's quite unusual for me to wear pink so I wasn't sure how much I'd like this but I have to say that I do really like it! This was helped by the fact that it applies like a dream and has one of the best brushes I've used for a while. These pictures were taken after wearing it for nearly 3 days. No topcoat.

I am now even more desperate to buy some more Glitter Gal Holographic polishes, I am especially in lust with Marine Blue! Maybe I can persuade Maz that nail polish is a wedding essential?!

Hope everyone is doing well, I have more reviews coming up!

xx

Gosh Holographic Konadicure and The Google Game

Hi!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was pretty quiet but I did go to a party on Saturday night so I did my nails for the occasion.

I finally bought Gosh's Holographic so thought I'd give that a go topped with Konad black polish using image plate M70.

I really loved the result -

Excuse the cuticle area... I've been picking!

I got lots of comments on this manicure, always a good sign :)

I absolutely love Gosh Holographic, I don't know why I put off getting it for so long.

Lastly, I saw the Google game on several people's blogs and thought I'd give it a go. It made me laugh a lot!

My life according to Google - Type in the following and choose from the first description found.... Be honest, don't just pick one out to be funny!

7: Type in "[name] has" in Google search:

Sarah had a jolly good moan... (is it me or do I sense a theme here?! This was actually the 2nd link, the first was - Woman has 200 orgasms a day. Sarah Carmen suffers from Permanent ... but wasn't sure if that counted... strangely the 2 links seem to be linked ;)

8: Type in "[name] works" in Google search:

Sarah works as a consultant... (finally something innocent!)

9: Type in"[name] lives" in Google search:

Sarah lives in Germany... (I do??)

10: Type in "[name] died" in Google search:

11.Type in "[name] does" in Google search:

Sarah does not eat humans... (why would someone need to ever say this!?!)

12: Type in "[name] will" in Google search:

Police doubt 'Sarah's Law' will cause vigilante attacks... (no links with Sarah will came up at all)

13.Type in "[name] is" in Google search:

SARAH IS BEAUTIFUL Sarah is beautiful inside and out, She's the most beautiful girl, When I'm dancing with Sarah and the stars are out, I am on top of the... (my stalker's been online again)

Let me know if you have a go at this game, I love reading other people's!

A Franken NOTD

Hi,

Earlier in the week I realised that my bottle of Cover Girl's City Lights was running very low and it was beginning to be difficult to use so I decided to use the rest of it for a franken. I mixed it with some of Nubar's Night Sparkles.

Here's how it turned out -

The first few shots show the true colour of the franken but the darker shots show the sparkliness! It looks best in the sun but of course there was no sun when I was taking pictures!

I love the result and will be wearing it a lot!

I went to Superdrug's yesterday and Gosh is 3 for 2 at the moment so I got some more sparkly things -

Gosh's extreme eyeliner number 26 and holographic silver eyedust. I also got the holographic nail polish but didn't take a photo of it for some reason.

Don't forget all these pictures are clickable and you can definitely see the full sparkle effect more in the big pictures!

Lastly, look what Tescos are selling now -

:)
