Konad - The First Attempt...

Hello again!

So, as I said after my last post I attempted my first konadicure. I'd had a practise on things other than my nails and had mixed results so I was excited to see what it'd look like!

I have to say that the whole process of konading is very satisfying. I can completely see why it's addictive.

For my first attempt I don't think I did too badly.... but I didn't do too great either :)

Some are wonky and the print didn't come out properly on others.

My ring finger came out well though I think.
After I'd messed up the left hand I decided there was no point doing the same design on the other hand as I was just going to take it all off again so I tested some of my other stamps instead.
They all worked out pretty well I think, I just need to work on my placement! I particularly like the stars on my middle finger.

I like this one as well but it needs to be placed differently because at the moment it reminds me of the Soviet Union flag!

So that was my first attempt! I need to practise more I think but it will be totally worth it in the end.
More experiments to follow soon!
Oh and one more thing.... I'm trying to decide whether to cut my nails or not. The length they are at the moment is the longest they've ever been. Through personal choice I have always chopped them and kept them a bit shorter than this just but I kind of like them this long...what do you guys think? Chop or no chop?!

Hey Millie!

I think you did a GREAT job. It took me forever to finally get my Konad right but even until now (I've had it for like a year now) I still can't get it to work properly lol :p Keep up the great work hun xx

You did a fantstic job on your Konading. Very pretty nails and they look so pretty long. I really like all the little designs on your other hand. Really good jog.

I think that looks great! Can't wait to see more.

I'm always afraid of hurting my finger with an accident so I chop, and I can't touch stuff like keyboard/phone but that's just my personal preference.
I think they look great long on you right now tho :D

They look great for a first time bit! Can't wait to see you play with more stuff.
As to chopping - well, they look wonderful long, so it's really up to you and your personal preference. I'm so close to filing mine down, I think I can file them past the damaged areas now and they'll still be a reasonable length.

Awesome. Do whatever your comfortable with. I prefer shorter nails on myself because I type a lot at work. But if you like them long keep them that way. You can always cut them if one breaks.

That's a great first koni, especially for a french tip (which I still usually manage to have a couple crooked any time I use them...)

I vote for not chopping, but then I've always been a long nail girl =) My own are the longest they've ever been right now, I keep saying I'll file them down when they start interfering with typing but so far I'm still good!

You did such a fantastic job! I'm still trying to konad properly. I can never get the design to be where I want it. Keep up the great work! :D

That is SO good! I've started thinking I need the Konad special polish as I cant find anything else that works well. I've been finding Konad increadibly frustrating and I really want to be good at it.
