In and Out! Plus a few collection pictures.

Hi!

It is absolutely miserable weather here today. So much so that I can't for the life of me, get a decent picture of the nail polish I currently have on. The polish I have on has shot straight to the top of my favourite list so I want to show you guys some decent shots of it so I'm going to see if it's a bit brighter tomorrow... I won't hold my breath, I do live in the UK after all!

So in the mean time I thought I would do something I've seen Sophie from melovemakeup do on her blog - Ins and Outs!

Ins

- HJ Manicure's Midnight Sky - I am SO in love with this nail polish! I will post pictures soon :)

- Urban Decay's Box of Shadows Vol II. I love every single thing about it. I have used it every time I've done my makeup recently. SO pretty!

- Preparing to put up the Christmas decorations tomorrow! The 1st of December is the earliest I feel I can put them up!

- Bernard Matthew's Mini Kievs - random I know but I just love them. I think I could eat them everyday forever.

- Getting excited about the Christmas Party this Friday! Posh hotel, open bar, lots of turkey, what else could I ask for!

Outs

- Not being able to sleep. My insomnia is so bad at the moment!

- The days getting gloomier and gloomier. I want to take pictures of my manicures!!

- Christmas shopping rage. I love Christmas shopping but I'm not so good with the crowds and queues. Maz says I get the shopping rage look on my face and the elbows come out :)

- Not being able to go back to hometown until after Christmas :(

That's it I think!

For those of you that didn't want to watch the video about my storage in my last post, here are a few pictures of my nail polish collection -

I didn't take pictures of my makeup, you'll have to watch the video if you want to see that ;)

Nail Polish & Makeup Storage.

Hello!

It's taken several attempts but I've finally managed to upload a video to YouTube to show you guys my storage!

The reason I don't sound very bouncy in it is because it was about my 5th attempt to record a video under 10mins long! I couldn't edit because as soon as I edit anything it seems to increase the upload time to about 10 hours!

Anyway I decided to do a video because there were just too many pictures. For those of you who don't want to watch the video then I will put a few pics on later :)

Sorry about the quality and lack of good lighting!

So here it is -

As you can see my collection is not nearly as big as most people's but I'm having a good go at increasing it :)

Hope you enjoyed the video. Let me know if you want to see anything more closely or have any questions!

Secret Santa, a prize, a NOTD and a hello!

Hello Everyone!

How are you all? It seems like so long since I've done a blog post! I don't know how you guys that do daily posts do it!

I have had an interesting couple of weeks with good parts and bad parts. The bad parts mainly concern money and not having enough of it due to unexpected bills involving replacing a shower!! The good part though was the week off Maz and I had together. We didn't do much, it was very lazy due to lack of funds but it was still very enjoyable :)

Why is it the really expensive stuff always happens close to Christmas?! After moving we thought we'd have a lot more spare money but so far it hasn't happened!! I think after Christmas we will though... I shouldn't complain because there are people far worse off than me and it's hardly the biggest problem in the world not being able to buy nail polish!!!
I am doing a swap at the end of November though which I am SO excited about! Just hope Xmas post doesn't slow it up too much.

Anyway that's enough of my moaning! On to more exciting stuff :)

Firstly, I received my Secret Santa package about a week ago, this is what I got -

(L-R) Icing's Grape A Licious, Color Club's Electronica(a lot more purple than it looks here!) and Ruby Slippers.

My lovely Santa was Kellie from Also Known As. I love the colours she chose for me and they are my first Color Club's and Icing so I squealed when I saw them! I can't wait to try them out. Thank you Kellie!

I hope the package I sent gets to my recipient soon.. I was a bit late sending it out but it should be there any day now!

Secondly, I received my prize for winning the giveaway that Diana from painted Lady fingers had a while ago -

(Konad image plate M13, Konad Sponge Nail Art Set and Konad Special Polish in gold black.)

I was so excited to get this and I can't believe I haven't had a chance to try it out yet! Kathleen from OC Nail Art sent it directly to me and it got here really fast as does everything I order from her.

Thank you Diana and Kathleen, I can't wait to do some experimenting :)

Lastly, this is my NOTD -

Actually, it's more a NOTW as I've had it on for several days already! It's Collection 2000's Intense with China Glaze's Fairy Dust over the top.

You may have noticed that I have a tendancy to put fairy dust over everything unless it's a konad! I just can't resist.... C2000's Intense is a gorgeous colour on it's own but I forgot to take a picture... you can't see what it's like at all in these pictures. It's actually a deep green with blue and silver glitter in it. It is one of my current favourites and I have had a lot of compliments on it!

Speaking of compliments, I got the best one ever a couple of weeks ago when my friends were here. We were in Debenhams looking for false eyelashes and I stopped to ask a girl on the Nails Inc stand where they were and she asked me where I'd had my nails done. I was so happy that someone who does manicures for a living thought mine was done by a professional! Sad I know but it made me very happy :) I had a konad design on over China Glaze's IDK.

That's it for today. I, as always, am way behind on posts and have so much I want to show you all. I'm also behind on reading other people's blogs and hope I haven't missed out on anything major!!

Tomorrow I am determined to finally do the storage post I've been talking about for so long.....

Oh and I hit over 200 followers!! Yay! I never thought I'd get that many when I first started this and I was happy when I had just 10 so 200 is amazing. Thanks to all of you who read and comment on my blog, I really appreciate every single one of you.

My Weekend!

Warning this post is picture heavy and doesn't have much to do with nail polish at all!!

This last weekend 2 of my friends from my hometown came to visit. They flew up on Friday and went back on Sunday.

Due to their visit, along with the wedding the weekend before and inbetween having a cold I have not done any swatches to show you at all, thus why I'm doing a non nail polish related post :)

Anyway we had an absolutely brilliant weekend. Lots of shopping, lots of drinking, lots of gossiping and best of all lots of laughing! We went out both nights and on both nights we took longer getting ready to go out than actually going out!!

Here are just a few of the pictures taken over the course of the weekend. The ones of just me are to show you my makeup for the 2nd night (I forgot to take any the first night!) -

The first thing the girls wanted to see when they got here was The Trafford Centre (big shopping centre for those of you who don't know!). This is Nisa at the entrance to the food hall.

View of the food hall. We ate at a place called Pesto which is Italian tapas. YUM!

Every single post/lamp post is decorated like this around there.

Picture of the 3 of us before going out the first night. It was meant to be the quiet night but it didn't really turn out that way....

Me in the club we went to first night. It was called Cinnabar and it was AMAZING! The DJ was one of the best I've ever heard.

Picture of Barnaby that Hanna took. So cute! He was very friendly to our guests. Bobo was friendly but not quite this friendly!

Picture of the 3 of us before going out on the 2nd night. It's unusual for me to wear black out but I made up for the lack of colour with my eye makeup!

Our shoes! Nisa and I have China Glaze's Ruby Pumps on our toes.

Hanna and I.

Me pretending the whole jug of cocktail was mine... pretending...honestly...

See, I poured it into glasses in the end :) It's sex on the beach if anyone's interested!

More pictures of the 3 of us throughout the night. The club we're in is called Tiger Tiger. Ironically, despite me living in Manchester it was Hanna who found us the places to go. I don't really go to clubs and stuff unless I'm with them!

Looking for Prince Harry... private joke, very funny at the time!!

Finally here are some pictures of me to show you my eye makeup. I meant to take some better close ups but as always I forgot!!

Ignore Maz trying to get involved on that last one!! He was our taxi driver for the weekend. He took and picked us up from everywhere, plus looked after us all when we came home a little worse for wear....

So that was my weekend! It was one of the best ever. Can't wait for them to come again!

I am so behind in everything blog wise. I haven't responded to comments, left comments on other people's blogs, posted about my storage, done any swatches or reviewed a couple of things I've been sent recently! In my defence I have been incredibly busy and also have been battling with a cold that just won't go away! Normal service will resume shortly... I hope. Just know that I really appreciate each and every comment I get and I am still reading blogs!

Kreativ Blog Award

I have been tagged for the above award by 4 lovely ladies - Niki, Helen, Judy and Halifax! Thank you so much, you know how much I love these things :)

I also got tagged by Mae from Art of Nail for the below award -

The awards both have the same rules so I thought I'd do them in one post! So thank you to Mae as well!

Rules: List 7 facts about yourself and award another 7 bloggers.

I have to say that I'm running out of facts! So if I repeat myself I'm sorry... plus I've read loads of other people's facts over the past couple of days so I'm bound to end up copying someone!

Anyway, here goes -

1. I love to drive. When I was younger and all angsty nothing calmed me down more than going for a long drive.

2. I have a very strong sense of smell. Smells annoy me. While most people are admiring the smell of some pretty flowers, I'm completely overwhelmed by the scent. If I can smell something whilst trying to sleep I have to get up and remove whatever is causing the smell... yes, that includes Maz!! Haha, not really but I do have to have a word.... ;)

3. I will rant for days about ignorant people (ignorant in my eyes anyway). Things that have recently set me off - the Jan Moir article and the BNP. Probably only fellow UK bloggers will know what I'm talking about there!

4. I used to do youtube videos about makeup. I didn't do it for long as I soon realised it just wasn't for me. I never got to the point where I got haters but seeing them on other peoples video comments really turned me off the whole thing and even now I only watch videos occasionally and even more rarely read the comments (yes, it'd send me off on a rant again if people made horrible comments!). I just don't understand people who purposely try to hurt other people all because they can do it anonymously. So wrong. I've seen a lot of stuff going on in the makeup community lately that makes me feel really uncomfortable.

5. I'm always late. No matter how hard I try, something always happens to hold me up! I'm a complete hypocrite though as it annoys me when other people are late! I annoy myself by being late. I annoy Maz even more as he's always ready in plenty of time and can't understand why I faff so much!

6. I am a home girl. I do like to go out occasionally with friends/Maz for drinks/meal/cinema etc but I am happiest when at home with Maz and the cats. My idea of bliss is curling up with a good book.

7. Maz thinks that Bobo and I have a pyschic link. When I'm ill, she's ill, when I'm down, she's down, when I'm hyper, watch out for Bobo! My mum tells me I'd have been burnt at the stake in the old days!!

Sinful Colors All About You Konadicure

Hello!

I have been slacking with posts lately and even more I have been slacking at responding to comments on my posts. I'm sorry! It is on my list to do urgently.
Last week was a busy one as my parents were visiting our new place for the first time so I wanted it all to look perfect!

Then on Friday it was my cousin's wedding which took place in Edinburgh, Scotland. This post is to show you what I wore on my nails!

I would show you a picture of what I wore head to toe but whilst I remembered to take my camera with me, I forgot the charger so I took about 2 pictures before it gave up!

Anyway I did a konadicure on my nails using Sinful Color's All About You and Konad special black polish with image plate M73.

The last 2 pictures are taken with the dress I wore to show you what I matched the colour to! I also used my Urban Decay Book of Shadows II to do a goldy/brown eye look.

I also did my mum's nails but I forgot to take a picture! It's the first time I'd done anyone else's nails because I've been really nervous that I'd be rubbish at it but they turned out fine so I can stop making excuses to my friends now!

The wedding was great. Rather than a band, they had country dancing. I got flung around the dance floor A LOT. I was laughing so hard I'm surprised I didn't pee my pants :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend and a fab Halloween!
