OPI's Purple With A Purpose Konadicure

Hey!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front recently. I have been feeling a bit disheartened with the whole thing due to various reasons so decided to take a bit of a step back. Not much of a step back though as I can't resist showing you my latest konadicure :)

I used OPI's Purple With A Purpose as a base and China Glaze's Devotion with image plate M64 for the konad.

Purple With A Purpose is a gorgeous purple. It doesn't show in any of these pictures but there is a hint of red running through the purple.
This image from M64 is definitely one of my favourites even though it still reminds me of wallpaper!

This weekend I am going away again. My friend from Australia is back for a couple of weeks so I'm going to see her! I can't wait. This time though, there will  be a lot less shots consumed!!!

Oh and for those of you who asked, Valentine's Day was great! Maz spoilt me loads. We went out for a lovely meal and he bought me lots of pressies :) The roses he got me are still going strong despite several attempts from Bobo and Barnaby to eat them.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Valentine's Nails - C2000 Vixen

Hey,

It's the weekend! Yay! Not only is it the weekend, it's Valentine's weekend! I know lots of people are very anti Valentine's Day but I can't help it, I love it!

I have done my nails for the occasion but they're not at all what I had planned. I was going to do a konadicure but I just haven't had the time so they are just very basic and simple!

I used Collection 2000's Vixen (very appropriate name I felt!) topped with a coat of China Glaze's Fairy Dust and then a coat of Sally Hansen's Strobe Light.

I have to say that it was IMPOSSIBLE to capture the true colour of this polish. I got very frustrated trying because it's such a gorgeous bright fuschia. It looks far more red in some of the pictures than it actually is.

The last picture shows the true colour as best I could get it!

So, I love it, even if it is a bit uninspired :)

I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow, it's all a surprise but I'm very excited!

I hope everyone has a good weekend and for those celebrating it - a fab Valentine's Day!

Models Own Blue Med

Hey,

Today I thought I'd show you one of the polishes from my Models Own haul. I couldn't decide which one to try first so I just closed my eyes and picked. Blue Med was the winner!

These pics are all pre clean-up so excuse the mess!

This was 3 coats and no top coat. The colour photographs really well and is exactly like this in real life.
I was really impressed overall with this polish. The brush is very precise and easy to use and I had no problems with application whatsoever. It dried really fast between coats and isn't as sheer as I thought it might be. Although there is a bit of a VNL in these pics, it isn't nearly so obvious in real life!
It's a gorgeous pale blue and reminds me so much of a polish I used to wear all the time when I was younger that I sadly lost at some point so I'm really pleased I picked this one. Can't wait to try the others now!

If you read my last post then you'll know I've been away for the weekend. I had a great time but am still pretty tired from it! A few too many shots were consumed.... I very rarely drink and will probably stop completely at some point but when I have a few too many I go a bit doo lally!!

Hope everyone had good weekends!

Models Own Haul

Hi!

This is another quickie post just to show you what I got from the Models Own sale.

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself because everyone else seemed to get their orders really fast and mine hadn't come but I decided to go check outside just incase the postman had delivered it without telling me. When I'm out the postman always just leaves any packages in our bottle box and then puts a note through the door to tell us it's there. There'd been no note but I went to check anyway. Low and behold there it was! Under a pile of bottles waiting to be recycled.... wait until Maz gets home!! Can't believe he piled stuff on top of my nail polish!! How did he not see it?! Men. Anyway all's well that ends well and least the box hadn't been put out for collection yet!

So here's what I got -

Love how they package them :)

(L-R) Peacock Green, Blue Med, Proper Copper, Emerald City, Magenta Divine

I'm really happy with my choices! It took a lot of self control not to order more but I have a girly weekend coming up so need all my pennies for that :)
I tried to choose at least one in a colour I wouldn't usually go for thus the Proper Copper. I'm so glad I did, it looks great. I can't wait to try them all.

I will show some swatches next week.

Sorry for my lack of posting this week. I've been a bit busy and unmotivated! In fact my nails have been bare all week... shock, horror!
As I said above though, I have a girls weekend this weekend so after I've finished this I'm going to dye my hair and do my nails!

Hope everyone has been having a good week. It's Friday tomorrow! Yaya!
